Lieutenant-Colonel Nkosikhona Hadebe testified about a pointing-out exercise he conducted with one of the men accused of killing the football star.

The State wanted to admit Sibiya’s confession statement as evidence of his involvement in the crime.

He is among five men accused of the football star’s murder at the home of his girlfriend in October 2014.

Advocate Charles Mnisi from the defense questioned Hadebe’s expertise and experience, saying it was only his fourth case regarding pointing out.

Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu, who represents the first two accused, pointed out inaccuracies in Hadebe’s pro forma statement, including the incorrect date, which Hadebe claimed was human error.

“It’s not a human error – it is not in the form. I worked according to the form.”

After Hadebe is cross-examined by the lawyer for the fifth accused, another witness will likely testify.
