Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos said he is wary of Tunisia ahead of their crucial match in Korhogo, Ivory Coast, in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday evening.

This despite trashing their previous opponents Namibia 4-0 to move to second in place in the group.

Tunisia is languishing at the bottom of Group E with a single point, while Bafana Bafana are second with three points. During a pre-match press conference, Broos cautioned the North Africans opponents.

“Tunisia is a very good team. I saw the first game against Namibia, and that was not the real Tunisia I know. They have good players, and they are a strong team, but they underestimated their opponents that day. I saw a strong Tunisia against Mali,” said Broos.

The coach revealed that he will adopt a different style to the one used against Namibia, as they will be facing a different opponent. Both Bafana and Tunisia are hoping for a win that will allow the winner an automatic place in the round of 16.

Meanwhile Bafana Bafana defender, Grant Kekana, said playing for Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League, has helped most of the team members to adapt to the conditions of playing in the continent.

He warned that the players must forget about the Namibia match and focus on Wednesday’s match.

“We can’t be complacent on our side. We understand that we got a good victory against Namibia, but it is not the end.

“It only gets tougher each and every game, and we are going to prepare well as a team and stay grounded because we don’t want to get carried away because of the previous results. So, our job is to go into the game prepared as best as possible and try to get a positive result so we can stay in the tournament,” explained Kekana.

In another group match, Mali will take on Namibia, the same time as Bafana Bafana will be playing against Tunisia.
