American rapper and record producer, Amala Zandile Dlamini, popularly known as Doja Cat, has deactivated her Instagram account after alleged bullying incidents that affected her mental health.

“Hey, I’m gonna deactivate because I’m not feeling this anymore.

“You guys take care of yourself.

“I enjoy visiting this site to find inspiration and view the creativity of others, but it now feels overwhelming.

“I have negative thoughts because of the way I’m spoken to and treated on here,” said Doja Cat.

She urged people to be mindful how they communicate with others.

“Please be mindful of how you communicate with others on here.

“Please be mindful to how you communicate with others on the internet.

“Bye,’’ wrote the Say So hitmaker to her over 24 million followers before exiting the platform.

Doja Cat is known for her bold and unconventional style that never fails to have tongues wagging.

Among many other out of the ordinary stunts she pulled was when she shaved her head and eyebrows during an Instagram live back in August 2022.

While some fans sent her love and light, Mzansi shared an interesting perspective on the musician’s situation.

“Ancestors want her to slaughter a goat for them. She must come back and do the right thing,’’ commented @BSim0.

@ItsDaRealJay wrote “She must come back home and do her traditional ceremony for her ancestors.”

@Mgabisa_FT added, ‘’She should consider coming home to SA, she will be fine immediately after landing at her home yard.

If not, they will know what to do with her or for her.

Uzoba right wethu, it’s normal.’’

Besides breaking records and setting trends, Doja Cat is known to be the daughter of famous actor from the Sarafina Musical, Dumisani Dlamini who played the character of Crocodile.

The Grammy Award winner sparked a debate on the socials earlier this year, when she revealed that she hasn’t visited South Africa citing her dislike of flying as one of her reasons.

However, she did acknowledge that it would mean a lot to her fans this side, considering her shared African ties.

Among other much anticipated gigs she’s set to be a part of this year is the major music festival, Coachella, in California, USA.
