South African fitness instructor and co-founder of the Kolisi Foundation, Rachel Kolisi, has stepped down as the CEO of the foundation. She and her ex-husband, Springbok’s captain, Siya Kolisi, launched the foundation back in 2020, in a bid to tackle gender-based violence (GBV), food security and promote sports and educational programmes. The announcement of her departure from the Foundation was shared by Non-Profit Organisation, Justice Desk through a picture they posted alongside Rachel. “This morning, we had the privilege of joining fellow GBV organisations to surprise Rachel with a heartfelt farewell. Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful. We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things. From all of us at #JusticeDeskAfrica, thank you, we appreciate you and we will miss you. Wishing you all the best on your next chapter,” read the caption under the post on Instagram. In her reply, Rachel commented with “Love and appreciate you all so much,” and attached a red heart emoji. She hasn’t yet revealed the decision to step down or give insight on her next adventure. It also comes a few months after the announcement of her divorce to Kolisi, after being married for eight years. Their breakup left fans and supporters distraught and calling for them to give love another chance.
