Gauteng police have launched an investigation into a triple murder that occurred at a restaurant in Johannesburg’s city centre on Monday.

According to authorities, three men between the ages of 30 and 45 were fatally shot by unidentified suspects. Police spokesperson Noxolo Kweza confirmed that the attackers, believed to be two individuals, were wearing masks during the incident.

All three victims were declared dead at the scene. At this stage, no arrests have been made.

Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni has strongly condemned the killings, describing them as senseless. He assured the public that law enforcement will pursue all leads and leave no stone unturned in their efforts to bring those responsible to justice.

Police are urging anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.
