Kaizer Chiefs have made way for the Springboks’ highly anticipated clash against the All Blacks at FNB Stadium, with their upcoming fixture against Siwelele FC now confirmed for Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
The match will be played on Sunday, 6 September 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 17:30.
Chiefs were initially set to host the fixture at FNB Stadium, but the venue is unavailable as it prepares to host the rugby clash between South Africa and New Zealand.
The fixture was subsequently moved to Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, but that venue also became unavailable, forcing the club to explore several alternatives.
Chiefs considered Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban for 2 September, but the PSL ruled that the pitch was unsuitable to host the match following inspections.
The club then approached New Peter Mokaba Stadium, but the PSL again ruled out the venue.
In partnership with Stadium Management South Africa (SMSA), Chiefs eventually secured Dobsonville Stadium as the final option.
SMSA offered Sunday, 6 September, due to another match scheduled at the venue.
Chiefs have apologised to supporters who had already made travel arrangements to Rustenburg.
“We therefore wish to sincerely apologise to the supporters of both teams who had already made arrangements to travel to Rustenburg,” the club said.
Tickets for the match are available through Computicket and at Shoprite and Checkers stores for R80.
The club says the venue challenges are part of wider stadium difficulties being experienced by the PSL across the country, highlighting the logistical and operational pressures facing South African football.
