Brighton & Hove Albion have completed a rare clean sweep of the Premier League’s major monthly awards after a sensational September. Pascal Gross was named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month, Fabian Hurzeler won the Barclays Manager of the Month award, while Lewis Dunk claimed the Guinness Goal of the Month prize.
The trio’s success means Brighton have become only the fifth club in Premier League history to win the Player, Manager and Goal of the Month awards in the same month.

Gross wins first Player of the Month award
Gross claimed his first-ever Premier League Player of the Month award after producing five goal involvements during September. The 35-year-old scored twice and provided three assists as Brighton enjoyed a strong run of form. He opened his award-winning month with a goal and two assists in Brighton’s 5-0 victory over Coventry City before scoring against Arsenal and setting up Chema Andres in a 3-0 win over the champions.
Gross is also only the fourth German player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award, following Ilkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane and Jurgen Klinsmann. He is the sixth-oldest player to receive the award.

Hurzeler recognised after Brighton surge

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler was named Manager of the Month for the second time.
His side collected seven points from three matches in September, scoring nine goals and conceding only once to move up to third in the Premier League table. Brighton have also been among the league’s most dominant attacking and possession-based teams this season. They lead the Premier League for possession, shots on target per match, big chances created and possession won in the final third.
The Seagulls have scored 16 league goals so far — three more than second-placed Arsenal — while averaging 3.2 goals per game.

Dunk completes Brighton hat-trick
Lewis Dunk’s long-range strike against Coventry City was voted the Premier League’s Goal of the Month for September. The Brighton captain’s effort, which flew into the top corner, completed the club’s remarkable awards sweep. Brighton are now only the fifth club to win all three awards in the same month.
The previous clubs to achieve the feat were Bournemouth in January 2025, Manchester United in November 2023, Newcastle United in October 2022 and Chelsea in November 2016. Dunk’s goal was selected from a shortlist of eight efforts following a combination of public voting and votes from a panel of football experts.

Raya claims fourth Save of the Month award
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya also received recognition after winning the Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for the fourth time. Raya made a crucial penalty save against Sunderland, diving at full stretch to push Enzo Le Fee’s spot-kick onto the post with the match still goalless. Arsenal went on to win 2-0, with Bruno Guimaraes opening the scoring before Bukayo Saka converted a stoppage-time penalty. Raya now has four Save of the Month awards, putting him outright second on the all-time list behind Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who has five.

Andre Onana and Aaron Ramsdale have each won the award three times.
