Manchester City midfielder Elliot Anderson believes the bond within the squad is stronger than ever after the Premier League champions secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

City maintained their perfect winning record in the league this season, overcoming a hostile atmosphere on Sunday with a commanding second-half performance.

Goals from Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki sealed the victory, underlining City’s determination and growing confidence early in the campaign.

Anderson, who was named Player of the Match for his performance in midfield, said the team’s unity had played a crucial role in the result.

“We’re all so together, more together than ever,” Anderson told City Studios after the match.

“And I think we have to be like that. We’ve got to stick together. And I think it really brings us together.

“It gives you that determination to come out here, everyone is against you, and turn them over, which we did.”

The midfielder said the experience of playing in a hostile environment had strengthened the team’s resolve as they continued their pursuit of success this season.
