A search of suspended Sergeant Fannie Nkosi’s Pretoria home reportedly uncovered six original police dockets, state-owned ammunition, a stun grenade and more than R52,000 in cash.

The discoveries come as Nkosi faces serious misconduct charges, including theft, fraud, defeating the ends of justice, unlawful possession of explosives and multiple counts of failing to safeguard firearms and ammunition.

Police have confirmed that Nkosi has resigned from the South African Police Service (SAPS). His departure comes amid mounting scrutiny over the allegations against him.

The case has renewed attention on police accountability and the alleged mishandling of sensitive police records and state property.
