Hundreds have reportedly been killed after an Israeli Defence Force targeted and hit the Baptist Hospital in Gaza. According to the Palestinian health ministry, victims include healthcare professionals and people who were being treated after sustaining injuries in prior bombings. While initial reports were that up to 500 people died in attack, authorities have so far confirmed 300 deaths including those of already wounded people. The ANC says it is satisfied that South Africa is nowhere near being broke. In a bid to improve access to justice the justice department is expected to facilitate the appointment of over 250 additional magistrates to be assigned to courts across the country. Some 1000 candidates are to be interviewed in what is by far the largest intake of judicial officers in the country. Egypt has rejected a proposal by Israel and the West to allow Palestinians into the Sinai Peninsula as fighting continues between the Israel Defense Force and resistance movement Hamas. The government is pursuing criminal charges against the man who has been exposed as an imposter after shooting to fame as one of the youngest doctors. Social media users unmasked Matthew Lani as a fraud after he assumed several identities including that of Sanele Zingelwa while he posed as a doctor working at a state hospital. Blade Nzimande, minister of higher education, science, and innovation, has been prohibited from placing Unisa under administration by the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
