The long wait is finally over as Team SA will officially kick off their Paralympics games campaign that will get underway on Wednesday. The 17th edition of the para sports event, which is governed by the International Paralympic Committee, will be held in Paris, France from 28 August until 8 September 2024. The 26 Athletes who will be representing SA in these games arrived on Monday in Paris and have already settled in at the athlete’s village. South Africa’s actress and entrepreneur, Nomzamo Mbatha has once again flown the country’s flag high at the prestigious Septimius Awards in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The aim of the awards is to discover and support visionary storytelling in various genres of films and television series amongst others. Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced a preliminary squad of 38 players for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The squad is dominated by some star Mamelodi Sundowns players including the league Best Goalkeeper award recipient, Ronwen Williams and Midfielder, Teboho Mokwena amongst others.
