More than 200 artists have signed a petition by the non-profit organisation, Artist Rights Alliance (ARA), to prevent Artificial Intelligence (AI) developers from infringing upon the rights of human artists. The South African Football Association (SAFA) has sought to take legal action against the Hawks, after it instituted a raid at its headquarters last month. According to the Hawks, the raid was in connection with allegations of fraud and corruption to the tune of R1.3 million levelled against the Association’s President, Danny Jordaan. In its bid to tackle the scourge of teen pregnancy and HIV infections, the Department of Health has launched the first-of-its-kind contraceptives vending in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), South Africa has the highest rate of teen pregnancy globally, with one in four girls becoming pregnant before turning 20 years old.
