“Wrapped! Nothing but magic every time I’m with my guy.
See ya’ll on June 7 for Bad Boys 4,” wrote Will Smith on his Instagram under a still of himself and co-star Martin Lawrence, wearing all black.
The 25-years-old Bad Boys franchise surrounds the events of Will and Martin as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett where they are Miami cops battling out crime as both work partners and close friends.
The first ever instalment of the action-comedy movie came out back in 1995 and was followed by the second one in 2003.
The third edition Bad Boys For Life then took over ten years before being released in 2020 and became the sequel’s apex.
The movie made $426 million worldwide before theatres were shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to insiders, Bad Boys 4 is guaranteed to live up to or surpass its predecessor.
Among other factors, the movie’s box office success and the audience’s love for Smith and Lawrence sharing the screen together, puts the upcoming edition at an advantage to reach an even greater milestone.
The movie that’s directed by returning filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will feature other reenacting characters from previous instalments including Paola Nunez, Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig.
There’s been widespread excitement from fans who are thrilled about the movie’s early premiere, after some delays that include the Hollywood writer’s strike.
“I can’t wait. Honestly Bad Boys is one of my favourite movies. I’ve probably watched all 3 of them 20 times already,’’ one fan commented.
‘’Bad Boys Bad Boys watchu gonna do, whatchu gonna do when we come for you,’’ exclaimed another fan, referring to one of the movie’s soundtracks.
The film will drop a week earlier than the original release date that was set for 14 June.
