Renowned DJ, Nkosinathi Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee was bestowed with the award for the World’s Best DJ at this year’s 9th edition of the Golden Moon Awards.

The announcement was made by the Spain-clubbing industry organisation, Nightlife International on their official Instagram page.

“All hail Black Coffee from South Africa ZA, winner of the Golden Moon award for the World’s Best DJ 2024.

Black Coffee has taken the global stage by storm, blending his unique Afro-house sound with deep, soulful grooves that resonate with audiences worldwide.

A pioneer, a visionary and a cultural ambassador, Black Coffee continues to inspire millions, pushing boundaries and connecting the world through his music.

A truly deserving icon of this prestigious honour,” read the post from the organisers.

The Grammy-Award winner has achieved tremendous success in his bid to “take South Africa to the world”.

He has featured big international stars by the likes of Pharrell Williams, Usher, Diplo, Alicia Keys and David Guetta and others, on various number one charting records.

‘No DNA Just RSA’ came to life once more on the comment section after the Superman hitmaker expressed gratitude for his newest milestone.

@tk_moafrika commented “I will always support you.”

@raredextaung1 wrote “Well in and congratulations to you, my King.”

The South African government also joined in to send its praises to him through a post on X.

“A huge congratulations.  Your dedication and passion inspire us all.”

Black Coffee continues to break boundaries while connecting the world through music.
