Cassper Nyovest, Pearl Thusi unlock December mood

“Ke Dezember” vibe has officially been activated in Mzansi and those who know, know!

Rapper Cassper Nyovest and TV personality Pearl Thusi have now become the faces of December, after both videos of them displaying excitement to the arrival of the festive month emerged and went viral.

The two separate videos which have the common thrill of the holiday season aren’t new to the social streets as they date back some years ago

In Cassper’s video, he pretends to wake up from a deep sleep then gets the biggest shock as he opens his eyes, while he repeats the words “Ke December” walking outside where he finally screams the same line from the top of his lungs with jubilation.

Meanwhile, Thusi can be seen at a beach chilling next to her daughter then they both start to chant “Hello December”, as she stands up to dance in a draping loose white dress with some giggles in the background.

The last month of the year in SA is met with complete eagerness and social media goes bananas without fail.

There’s already several funny trends on TikTok about family gatherings, relationships and even the anticipation of what could be the song of the year.

South Africans and tourists remain spoiled for choice with a dozen festivities and events to choose from as holiday celebrations continue.

Another plus is the fact that it’s the summer season, but even if the country experiences a few showers, nothing will stand in the way of Mzansi living it up.

Despite the excitement, it’s impressive to see various videos promoting safety etiquette in terms of spending and travelling tips amongst others.

Some of the common trends for December in Mzansi include colourful hairstyles from the young ones, shooting crickets, adding watermelon to the grocery list, opening the oldest home-made canned peaches and receiving stokvel payouts amongst the many traditions.
