South African rapper and businessman, Cassper Nyovest is undeterred by critics who are questioning his relevance in the hip hop scene.

Controversial Podcaster MacG sparked a debate when on the recent Podcast and Chill episode, he implied that Nyovest is now “washed up,” adding that he must “leave the mic before the mic leaves him.”

MacG’s comments were in critique of Cassper’s new track Kusho Bani, which he feels is not the rapper’s best work in comparison to his old hits.

However, the song has garnered a lot of traction on TikTok, especially the hook about his wife being a ‘Hoshkaramaima’ which is defined as a woman with rare beauty.

Meanwhile, Nyovest took the ‘washed up’ comments MacG made about him and turned them positive.

“They are right, I’m washed!

Washed by the blood of the holy lamb and I’m now a new creature.

All the glory goes to my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

That’s why I’m so blessed.

I deserve no credit at all.

I’m blessed beyond my imagination, and I’m truly grateful to be washed,” he wrote on his X account.

In his bid to prove another point, he dropped the announcement of the return of his iconic Fill Up show.

“You know what?

Let me just go book a stadium and do Fill Up one more time so we can restore order.

Let’s rock!

Which stadium do you want? Cassper asked his fans.

He has been successful in filling the previous shows in 2016 at the Orlando Stadium, FNB Stadium in 2017, Moses Mabhida Stadium in 2018, and Royal Bafokeng Stadium in 2019.
