Cyril Ramaphosa shows Mzansi another glimpse of his “Lover-boy” side

President Cyril Ramaphosa has once again revealed his inner Romeo during a phone call with the country’s first lady, Dr Tshepo Motsepe.

On the sidelines of the ANC’s National Executive Committee meeting held in Boksburg, journalists captured a sweet moment of Ramaphosa on a call with his wife, requesting her to bring him an ANC tie and cufflinks.

In the video where journalists can be heard giggling in the background, Cupcake, as he’s popularly known on social media, continues the conversation with his significant other, with smiles and a dash of flattery.

The wholesome moment got the attention of Mzansi on X.

“He had me as a mommy! Love and respect always win.”

“They don’t call him cupcake for nothing.”

“President Cyril really loves his wife at all costs,” read some of the comments.

This was one of the many cute moments the President has let the media in on.

Amongst others was during the May 29 elections, where he was seen holding hands with his wife and walking her to the que, where he waited for her to cast her vote.

In an exclusive interview last year, Dr Motsepe opened about her relationship with the President, adding that they met on a blind date that was set up by her friend when she was 33 years old.

The first lady also humorously hinted that Ramaphosa was actually her sixth choice.

The two tied the knot in 1996.
