Fans hyped as Kelvin Momo headlines the Red Bull Symphonic event

The announcement of musical genius, Kelvin Momo as the 2025 star of the Red Bull Symphonic with Adam Howard and the Egoli Symphonic Orchestra, has fans amped for the event.

Momo is referred to as the King of Private School Amapiano, a sub-genre of the sound which comprises mellow log drums, incorporating live instruments such as the violin, guitar and trumpet amongst others.

With him already having hit records that take Mzansi on a musical experience, his live performance with a full orchestra is bound to be impressive and not to be missed.

Momo is the second artist to headline the Red Bull Symphonic after Kabza de Small debuted last year.

The fans were also left in awe after the tickets to Momo’s show, 20 minutes after being made available.

They started from a minimum of R300 for the show which is scheduled between Friday and Saturday on the 6th and 7th, at The Teatro in Montecasino, Johannesburg.

X users gathered in the comment section to express their disbelief while others said they anticipate that the show will be packed.

@sthedoingthings decided to ask @RedBullZA to post the show online commenting “please record everything, we’ll see each other on YouTube.”

@mfana_ka_motha had a question when he wrote “Isn’t it just the early bird tickets that are sold out?” as he attached a crying emoji.

Another user @_ShaunKeyz simply expressed his excitement “Kelvin Momo will be doing the second Red Bull Symphonic. This is the best news I’ve heard this week.”

Amongst others, fans are thrilled to see him take the stage alongside the likes of vocalist, Babalwa M, Nia Pearl and many others he featured on his projects.
