Renowned gospel artist Solly Moholo has passed away at a Rustenburg hospital in the North West.
This was confirmed by his management team in a statement.
Moholo, whose real name is Solomon Molokoane, was 65 years old.
“It is with great sadness that we are informing you on behalf of the Molokoane family, that is Solly Moholo’s family, that our beloved legend ‘Solly Moholo’ has sadly passed on.
He passed on 2nd October 2024 whilst in hospital.
Solly Moholo was hospitalized after falling following his pre-album launch tour in Botswana,” read a statement from his team.
Moreover, the team said Moholo will be sorely missed, adding that he must be fondly remembered for the healing music he released over the years.
“At this time, the family would like to request that they be given privacy and time to mourn the passing of Ntate Solly Moholo and prepare for his burial.
Details of his memorial and funeral will be shared in the coming days on all Solly Moholo official pages,” added the statement.
