DJ and record producer, Kabelo Motha popularly known as Kabza de Small is obviously the G in GOAT when it comes to creating hit yanos tracks.

According to Spotify charts, his Imithandazo track ft Mthunzi, Young Stunna, DJ Maphorisa, Sizwe Alkaline and Umthakathi Kush, has surpassed his 2021 hit record, Asibe Happy where he featured DJ Maphorisa and Ami Faku.

Imithandazo is part of his latest 9 track album with Mthunzi, Isimo which dropped last year.

At a time where people feel like they are breaking “generational curses’’ and bettering their lives, it is a no brainer that the track garnered about 10 102 764 plays on Spotify.

The song explores spirituality and seeking guidance from a higher power.

‘’Yehlisa umoya wakho wemvumelelo, Yizwa imithandazo yabantwana bakho, Nkosi sikelela,’’ are some of the lyrics that can be heard in the song.

Fans took to X to express their understanding, and experiences with the song.

Some described it as a soundtrack of their journey while their still battling to discover their purpose in life and making a change in their lives.

“Each time I listen to Imithandazo by Kabza I cry (please don’t judge me) cause it has a meaning for me, when looking at where I’m coming from and where I’m heading,’’ shared @miss_velile.

@RobustHun commented ‘’Imithandazo is such a healing song. A plea to God to hear our most sincere prayers.’’

Kabza also cemented his name as the King of Amapiano after bagging four awards at the 2023 South African Music Awards (SAMAS), alongside DJ Maphorisa in:

  1. Best Group of The Year
  2. Best Amapiano Album
  3. Best Kwaito Album
  4. Best Produced Album

Just 5 days upon its release, Imithandazo received 1 million views on Youtube.

The star took to Instagram a picture of the official album cover that had the name of the song under it, with the caption “Danko’’.
