Minister Blade Nzimande sends condolences to the family of a slain Mamelodi student

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande has sent condolences to the family of a Mamelodi student who was stabbed to death earlier this week. 

Mabutho Jenamo,a student at Reneilwe Community Learning Centre,was stabbed to death and robbed of his cellphone and wallet on Tuesday. 

Authorities say the 18-year-old was on his way from an orientation lecture to a community learning center with fellow students when a group of men attacked them. 

Four suspects were arrested for the murder  of Jenamo after a tip off by members of the community and some witnessesand and Nzimande has welcomed the arrests 

They appeared at the Mamelodi West court on Wednesday for their bail application and the matter was postponed to 25 January 2023. 

Nzimande thanked the community of Mamelodi who responded swiftly by identifying the perpetrators and helping the police to apprehend them.
