Musk resorts to desperate marketing as empire crumbles

South African born billionaire businessman Elon Musk has resorted to cheap desperate marketing as his empire continues to fall apart as Americans and the world react to his aggression.

In just three months, Tesla (Musk’s self-driving vehicle) has seen $800 billion loss in market value.

Musk’s perceived abuse of authority as head of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has resulted in a backlash that has seen protests held in various parts of the US while a boycott of his products is also gaining momentum.

On Wednesday Musk tried using X, the social media platform he now owns, to keep his business going.

He posted a poll asking users to vote on whether the platform was addictive or not.

𝕏 is addictive. Do you agree with Me? A.Yes B. No

The poll comes after this week President Donald Trump recorded a whole sales video at the White House promoting Musk’s vehicle brand Tessla in a move that has left many disappointed and gave strength to allegations of state capture.

Trump slammed those orgainising anti-Musk protests and boycotts of his Tesla brand calling them mean.

Trump took it further by announcing that he had bought a Tesla car himself.

“Elon Musk spent $300M to get Trump elected, so today Trump repaid him by turning the White House into a Tesla showroom. While Musk cuts services you rely on, Trump’s using taxpayer dollars to film a commercial for him. This admin is a massive corruption scheme,” said Congressman Daniel Goldman in his disapproval of Trump’s unprecedented endorsement of Tesla.

Since Musk took up the DOGE role – Tesla stock price is down nearly 50% – his net worth is down $132bn while Wall Street cut Tesla growth forecasts and SpaceX Starship failed two launches.

On the other hand X is experiencing major outages.

Leading the biggest campaign against Musk is Senator Chris Van Hollen who is pushing for the reinstatement of thousands of civil servants fired arbitrarily by the South African born.

“We’re working 24/7 to get illegally-fired federal employees back to work. And when they do, they shouldn’t have to restart their “probationary clocks” because of Elon Musk’s illegal operation. We introduced a bipartisan bill that ensures just that,” said Van Hollen addressing hundreds of affected employees.

Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak made it worse for Musk when he revealed the Trump funded stole money and lied about the capabilities of Tesla.

Wozniak said he was banned from X in retaliation for speaking out.

Musk is also making enemies elsewhere in the world with his trolling of world leaders and attempts at imposing his questionable companies on countries.

The Head of the European Union Ursula von der Leyen this week retaliatory tariffs against the US which had moved first to target Europe.

“The European Union declares it will slap the USA with retaliatory tariffs on over 26 billion euros worth of goods — and not just steel and aluminum products, but also home appliances agricultural goods, motorcycles, bourbon, peanut butter and jeans,” she said.

Canada meanwhile filed to sell U.S. Dollar Bonds—of a yet to be announced size amid escalating trade tensions and Trump’s tariff war.
