In Sunday’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Morocco defeated Belgium 2-0 to give themselves a great chance of progressing.

According to Soccerzela, Mosimane said: “Morocco have been aggressive in their development, and I am confident they will dominate African football soon. Their football is taken very seriously, and they have the biggest vision on the continent. South Africa is 20 years behind.”

Morocco entered the ongoing World Cup ranked 22nd in the FIFA rankings and second in Africa.

The Moroccans drew 0-0 against Croatia in their opening World Cup match before beating Belgium in their second match.

In their final Group F match, they will face already-eliminated Canada on Thursday, 1 December at 17:00 (SA time). In the event of a draw, they may reach the Round of 16 while a victory will secure their place in the next round.
