Following four days of power shortages in tin Mahikeng, North West, Danville residents locals blocked the R503, which connects Mahikeng to Lichtenburg.
Yesterday Eskom spokesperson in North West, Zodwa Dlamini said that because the region is a marsh, every vehicle sent to the site by Eskom became trapped in the water and mud.
“Eskom had deployed its specialists to begin the process,” said Dlamini.
According to Eskom, power has now been restored to Danville in Mahikeng, North West.
