South Africa Rugby Director Rassie Erasmus has followed the official account of England Rugby on X ahead of their crucial semi-final clash this evening at the Rugby World Cup in Paris, France.

The move has caused a stir on the platform,  as some users refer to him as the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time), a troll or simply just playing mind games with his opponents.

‘’Rassie just followed England Rugby, I love it’,” one user tweeted.

‘’He is consistent, New Zealand and Argentina should block him now,” another added.

This comes a week after unfollowing the accounts of South Africa’s Rugby World Cup group stage opponents and doing the same to Scotland and Ireland before they faced each other in the final Pool B matches.

Erasmus is widely praised for his genius ways and his ability to get in the mind of his rivals especially on social media.

He was in the past handed a two-game ban  by World Rugby after cricising match officials on social media.

Meanwhile, prior to facing England at the Rugby World Cup in France, he believes  that they will have ‘beef’ with the Springboks following their 2019 defeat in Tokyo, Japan.

‘’I think because they played us end of the year and they played us at the Rugby World Cup final, I think they’ll have some beef with us.

It’s something that will always hurt when you lose the World Cup,’’ said Erasmus.

The much anticipated semi-final match  between the two nations will kick off on Saturday, 21 October at 9pm.
