The family of late rapper and fashion icon, Rikhado Makhazo, popularly known as Riky Rick, has announced the release date for his posthumous album titled Boss Zonke Forever.

They shared the album cover along with the track list on Instagram, also attaching the release date, 04 April 2025.

The release date of Riky’s posthumous album is anticipated to bring a nostalgic feel and take his fans back to memory lane when he debuted his studio album, Family Values back in April 2015.

The 16-track album features industry giants by the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Nia Pearl, Elaine, Lusanda, 25K, Focalistic, Blxcie and Gemini Major amongst others.

The feature list indicates that the album won’t be his normal hip hop offering, but it will be infused with some R&B, Amapiano and Afro Pop.

The news of the album broke on the 23rd of February, which marked the third anniversary of his death.

Fans stormed to the post to express their excitement while others questioned the creative direction of the album, with the uncertainty of whether it’s what he would’ve loved.

“I love Ricky so much.

But as his fan I’m kinda disappointed with this album.

The album is okay but not on his level.

I don’t think this is right that Riky’s album was swarmed with irrelevant features.

But it’s okay, I hope the king is happy with this.

We will download it for him just to hear your voice and put them on the reels,” @owwgee_m wrote under the post on Instagram.

His followers continued commenting using some of his famous utterances and attaching happy emojis.

Riky continues to be remembered for his love for fashion, art and his legacy of believing in the youth and advocating for them to be given opportunities.
