When iconic music group Mafikizolo said ‘’Uzongithola ngiblom’ emlanjeni’’, Songo took note.

The 22-year-old Soshanguve born Atlegang Songo affectionately known as “PapiNiceTingz or Ngwanyana wa Touchline,” announced on Instagram news of his debut on one of Mzansi Magic’s famous telenovelas, The River.

Known for his comedic skits on TikTok and Instagram where he sometimes slips into different characters, the rising star described this milestone as a dream come true.

‘’This is a dream come true and proof that perseverance and consistency are key. I dreamt and spoke about this and for it to finally happen still has me in so much disbelief,” said Songo.

Songo’s growth is a sign that gone are the years when the youth used social media to kill time. He started making skits at the end of 2019 and has since continued consistently for almost years now. The content creator gave insight to some of his inspiration.

‘’I gain inspiration from a lot of things and a lot of people. One of the great things that inspires me is learning and allowing myself to make mistakes and by that I can decide whether they make or break me,” highlighted Songo.

He will be joining the show in the character of Katlego, Beauty’s cousin and he feels like this will be a chance for him to harness his untapped potential.

‘’Over the past years I have developed much love and passion for storytelling. Acting is not the only craft I want to perfect. I also want to go into script writing, which I’m finding very complex at the moment.

So everyday it’s just me putting whatever I have in my head on paper. I believe in my writing, and I believe that I’d make a great writer one day,’’ he shared.

If you need a push to pursue that big dream, Songo’s advice is to speak loudly about it, imagine it, put effort towards making it a reality and have faith.
