Pictures of stacks of R100 notes, a 9 millimeter rifle, ammunition, a knife and more money were found in third suspect Mthobisi Prince Mncube’s phones, according to cell phone data analyst and the fifth state witness – Moses Mabasa who gave testimony on the images retrieved in Mcube’s Samsung GT phone.

Mncube, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi,, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli have pleaded not guilty premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition for the killing of Senzo Meyiwa.

Meyiwa was gunned down in an alleged robbery gone wrong at his singer girlfriend Kelly Khumalo home in Vosloorus on the 26 October 2014.

Mabasa said he found a lot of pictures however photos compiled in the report are as a request from the lead investigation officer in the case Colonel Bongani Gininda.

He described an array of photos that were on the sim card or memory card on Mncube’s phone which included his pictures, guns, money and ‘Mpanga’.

“Page 37 , Is a picture found saved as my killing machine 20141006, a firearm,” said Mabasa.

Baloyi asked Mabasa to give a description of the firearm and he responded that “It is a silver and gold firearm”.

“Are you able to tell what type of firearm it is? Whether it is a revolver or a pistol,” Baloyi probed further.

“It is a pistol. It is a 9 millimeter pistol,” said Mabasa.

The first state Witness, Zandile Khumalo said there were two intruders in the house and one of them had dreadlocks. But she only pointed out accused number two Bongani Ntanzi as one of the intruders.

The third witness, Ntabiseng Mokete also placed a man with dreadlocks in the vicinity however she said she didn’t see his face.
