Tributes continue to pour in for television and radio broadcaster Thabiso Sikwane, poet, and Bishop Jessica Mbangeni.

Both families announced the passing of their loved ones and personalities yesterday.

Thabiso’s ex-husband DJ Fresh, real name Thato Sikwane took to his Instagram account to confirm her passing.

“This video is purely out of necessity because of the wild times we live in.

We did lose Thabiso this morning (Saturday), I think around 6:30.

We are told it could have been a cardiac event.

But what could have caused it, hasn’t been ascertained.

We await a postmortem that would give everyone clarity.

It doesn’t make sense to anyone, how this could happen out of the blue.

We’ll keep you updated on memorial and funeral details,” said DJ Fresh.

He had just interviewed Thabiso on his What A Weekend podcast, where the two candidly spoke about their lives, children, and co-parenting.

The 50-year-old Thabiso had an illustrious career in both radio and tv and worked for some of the top radio stations in the country.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Mbangeni family described Jessica as an inspirational person.

“Dr Bishop Jessica was a beacon of light, a voice of wisdom and a source of inspiration to many.

Her contribution to our community and the world as a praise poet, spiritual leader and cultural ambassador were immeasurable.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched,” read the statement.

Mbangeni, who was 47-years old, graced many high-profile stages both in the country and internationally.

These include at government, presidential events, and opening acts at some of the key international world bodies meetings.

In the statement, the family requested for privacy, adding that details regarding her memorial service and funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.

The fans of the two shared their messages of condolences on X.

“As’phelelanga, kushot’u Jessica! Lala ngoxolo. 🕊️💔,” read a message from @GovernmentZA.

“YOUR MAJESTY, The QUEEN ♥️,” said musician @busiswaah.

“Thank you so much Ma…lala Ngoxolo siyabulela ngendima oyidlalileyo,” conveyed @Irvinpooe

“You are who you are…” Your words will remain with Mzansi forever. Rest in eternal peace, 🕊️💔@GovernmentZA.

“Devastated to hear of the passing of such a beautiful woman 💔😭💔😭 condolences to @DJFreshSA and family,” @NickyBGlobal.
