South Africa’s hitmaker Tyla has once again let the music do the talking, after securing eight nominations for the prestigious Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) that will be held in Los Angeles, USA, on 12 December 2024.

The Grammy Award winner is nominated for top R&B Artist, Top R&B Female Artist, Top Afrobeats Artist, Top R&B Album, Top R&B Song for Water and alas, the one she competes with others including herself in, Top Afrobeats Song for Jump, Truth or Dare and Water.

Since the release of Water last year, Tyla’s rise to stardom has reached unimaginable heights.

She has made musical history, charted number one on various music platforms and bagged momentous accolades for her undeniable talent and creativity.

In the six BBMAs categories, she will be competing with global stars including Bryson Tiller, Partynextdoor, Muni Long, Tems, Burna Boy, Chris Brown and others.

While counting down to the much-anticipated awards ceremony to witness her greatness, her fans will still be treated to prestigious musical experiences from the 22-year-old superstar.

This as she will feature in American pop singer Sabrina Carpenter’s Netflix Christmas Special called A Nonsense Christmas.

She’ll grace the stage with live performances alongside Carpenter and other guests in duets of some of the special Christmas classic songs.

The show will be streamed exclusively on Netflix on 06 December.
