Tyla to host the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

South Africa’s multi-award-winning superstar Tyla is set to become the first African artist to host this year’s edition of the widely celebrated Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. 

The awards which will be broadcast from California, USA, will air on the Nickelodeon DStv channel, on Wednesday the 25th of June. 

Tyla’s name will be included in the history list of the celebrities who hosted the awards, Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake, and DJ Khaled amongst others. 

The elated multi-award winner shared the news with her fans on X expressing her excitement. 

“I’m really about to host the Kids Choice Awards,” Tyla wrote on her account. 

Reactions on the comment section included @VusiNtshanga who said, “Good luck and congrats, you are the perfect choice honestly.” 

@MaxwellelNkosi commented “You’re having another massive year.” 

Another user @imraquellll expressed eagerness and wrote “I can’t wait.” 

This year’s list of nominees features top global favourites such as Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar, each leading with four nominations.
