“Will Burna Boy fill up FNB Stadium?” Fans are deliberating after news broke that  the Grammy Award winning Nigerian singer and songwriter is coming back to South Africa.

Excitement has begun to build up after Ticketpro revealed that the 32-year-old  Nigerian megastar,  Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu affectionately known as ‘’Burna Boy’’,  will be headlining a concert at the FNB stadium on 23 September.

While fans can’t wait to party on with the Last Last hitmaker, the question pertaining to the FNB stadium’s capacity which takes more than 90 000 fans also stands, will he fill it up?

So far, SA rapper, Cassper Nyovest remains the only one who has topped the attendance records at the iconic venue when in 2017, he almost filled the stadium when 68 000 attended his concert.

The Afrobeat Nigeria star has accumulated a remarkable fanbase in Mzansi and his fans believe he has what it takes to pack the stadium.

‘’What’s crazy and funny is that he’ll probably fill up the stadium’’, one fan commented on Twitter.

Burna Boy made waves in SA after a high energy  performance, when he  headlined  the Dstv Delicious International Food and Music Festival at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg  last year and according to reports, an estimated 10 000 people showed up eager to see him.

The superstar also made history earlier this month headlining a sold-out show at Citi Field, a massive 41 922 capacity baseball stadium located in  New York., making him the first African artist to sell out a US stadium.

He featured tracks from his last 4 albums, Love Damini, Twice As Tall, African Giant and Outside.
