#1millionsubscribers made it to Twitter’s trend list in celebration of the milestone achieved by popular Youtube channel ‘’Podcast and Chill with MacG’’. The host of the show who is also a DJ, MacGyver Mukwevho popularly known as MacG made the announcement today on social media and said he appreciated Mzansi’s support.
‘’What a time to be alive KHEWOOOOO!!!! Thank you to every single chiller that has made this possible’’, he captioned the post.

It has been 5 years since the show first aired in July 2018 , releasing episodes once a week with The Ghost Lady and Lenn Moleko. MacG’s current co-host, Sol Phenduka, joined in 2020 to date. The DJ also took a moment to reflect on their humble origins.  “Today is a monumental day for our Podcast! From humble beginnings in a small apartment armed with a phone and mics, we’ve hit 1 million subscribers. Grateful to the Lord and our incredible chillers who stuck by us,’’ he added.

The chillers turned up the volume in celebratory energy also highlighting their optimism for another batch of 1 million subscribers. ‘’Congratulations again to the production team and the podcast network guys. Hope to see #roadto2million subs in the near future’’, one fan commented. Despite being surrounded by controversy from time to time, the podcast got a nod from the VN Global Media and Entertainment Awards in 2021, after bagging a nomination in the ‘Podcaster Of The Year’ category.

The African multi-streaming platform that offers global content from the world’s best creatives in cinema, stage, magazine, among others, was intrigued by the show, describing it as electrifying and energetic while admiring its exciting approach to podcasting. At some point fans thought there was something about the show that made people spill the beans, as some big secrets were first revealed there.

The show has featured big names in the country including DJ and record producer Black Coffee, musician and TV host, Jub Jub and Politician, Herman Mashaba among others. Recently, they announced that TV and radio personality, Dineo Ranaka will be the new addition to the #podcastandchillnetwork.

Ranaka who shared news of being allegedly fired from Kaya FM, will now be hosting a show called ‘’Dineo on Sex n Stuff’’ which premiered on Tuesday afternoon. Chillers are now waiting for the much anticipated celebratory event scheduled for 30 July at Sunbet Arena.
