Kaizer Chiefs woeful season in the Betway Premiership continues, as they were beaten 2-1 by Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs’ winless streak was compounded by a missed penalty and missed opportunities.

Amakhosi began the game on a high note, keeping Arrows goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Ngcobo busy in the first few minutes.

The pressure paid off, as Chiefs were awarded a penalty in the 10 minute of the match, after Makabi Lilepo was fouled in the box.

Despite creating several goal-scoring opportunities, Chiefs failed to score to take the lead and were left to ruin the lost chances.

Arrows’ glory came in the 78th minute, when Zimbabwean Knox Mutizwa sealed the match for his team, to ensure that the three points remained in Durban.

At the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane, Magesi FC registered their third straight win in the log, fifth when they defeated Stellenbosch FC 1-0.

This is the first consecutive wins for Dikwena tsa Meetse in the log, and the result saw them move to 11th place in the log, while Stellies remain in third place.

Meanwhile, Chippa United moved to ninth spot in the league, when they recorded a 2-1 victory against struggling Amazulu FC at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Saturday afternoon.
