The Madlanga Commission, a crucial inquiry into the alleged infiltration of law enforcement by organised crime syndicates, is gearing up for an important session as National Commissioner Fannie Masemola prepares to take the stand on Monday morning. This follows the insightful testimony provided by Kwa-Zulu Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who concluded his statements on Friday.

The commission, sitting in Pretoria, has attracted significant public attention due to its exploration of serious allegations implicating not just law enforcement, but also key figures across business and government, suggesting a deep-rooted nexus between public institutions and criminal elements.

Commission Spokesperson Jeremy Michaels confirmed that Masemola will testify on Monday, 22nd September, in what is expected to be a pivotal moment for the commission’s investigation. The session will delve deeper into the findings presented by Mkhwanazi, who highlighted the alarming extent to which alleged organised crime has penetrated law enforcement agencies.

“The public will be able to follow the hearing via live stream on the Commission’s website, www.criminaljusticecommission.org.za, as well as various other radio, television, news, and social media platforms,” said Michaels, ensuring that the inquiry remains transparent and accessible to concerned citizens.
