ActionSA is emerging as a key contender in Tshwane, where it is narrowly leading the ANC, while the Democratic Alliance (DA) maintains a strong lead across Gauteng’s other metros.
With 12% of voting districts declared, ActionSA is ahead in Tshwane with 29% of the vote, just one percentage point ahead of the ANC at 28%. The DA is currently in third place with 19%.
In Johannesburg, the DA is leading with 40% of the vote, followed by the ANC at 17% and ActionSA at 15%.
The DA is also ahead in Ekurhuleni, securing 42% of the vote. ActionSA follows with 19%, while the ANC has 16%.
Despite the DA’s strong showing across much of Gauteng, the early results in Tshwane point to a competitive race between ActionSA and the ANC.
With most voting districts still to be declared, the results remain preliminary and could shift as counting continues.
