Magalies Water has sought to explain to residents of Ipelegeng and parts of Schweizer-Reneke at the Mamusa Local Municipality in the North West, reasons for the lack of water supply in their area. The family of one of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldiers killed in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Lance Bombardier Itumeleng Moreo, said it is still trying to come to terms with his death. Eskom has slashed its diesel usage cutting it from R28.70 billion last year to R17.57 billion this month. The power utility has attributed this improvement to the stability of its system. “Year-to-date savings continue and have reached R17.57 billion.
