Trump went as far as referring to…
President Cyril Ramaphosa has urged countries participating in the G20 summit in Pretoria to use their numbers to call for global peace and equality. While Trump has thrashed global institutions including the United Nations itself, Ramaphosa emphasised a continued need for multilateralism and said the G-20 itself should do its best to influence the direction the world takes as it represents a significant portion of the…

A year later, he still hasn’t delivered on any…
City of Johannesburg demonstrated that inclement weather would not deter its efforts in fostering a cleaner and safer environment. On Wednesday, Mayor Dada Morero, accompanied by his Mayoral Committee Members, initiated a powerful law enforcement and cleanup operation in the heart of the inner city. This initiative targeted various unlawful activities, including illegal trading, rampant littering, and unauthorized electricity connections, as well as the troubling issue of building hijackings. In the course of the operation, several non-compliant shops—predominantly foreign-owned—were shut down, underscoring the municipality’s zero-tolerance stance on violations of city regulations. Leading one of the teams was Mayoral Committee Member…

With South Africa under attack from newly elected US President Donald Trump local politicians are pushing for the government not to compromise on any of the issues perceived as being behind the sudden targeting of the country. While Trump has cited alleged mass killing of whites in what Afriforum has falsely claimed to be state sponsored land grabs, many international observers believe the US is retaliating over the stance South Africa took on ongoing conflicts in Palestine and in Ukraine where it’s posture stands opposite of what the West wants. The latest is that South Africa may face further pressure…
