The North West government said it is pleased with the introduction of a school’s breakfast programme at 300 schools across the province. The programme, which is registered through the National School Nutrition Programme in the province, is feeding more than 740 000 learners. The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) said it is investigating after two traffic officers and a suspect were knocked down by one of the TMPD officers. The incident, which occurred in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria, went viral on social media. In the video, officers are seen dragging and trying to arrest a motorist, when a clearly marked TMPD vehicle runs over the officers and the motorist. Moroka Swallows has been fined R1 million by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee (DC) for failing to honour two of their Premiership matches in December. This after Swallows informed PSL that they would not pitch for the match due to a players strike at the club over their wages. South Africa is confident that it has presented a strong exceptional case at the International Court of Justice at The Hague, Netherlands, as the court today heard the first leg of the case by South Africa against Israel.
