The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has expanded its probe into the North West Development Corporation (NWDC) to include contracts awarded to Tokiso Security Services CC. Two Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officers have been arrested on charges of extortion and corruption, following a swift investigation initiated by a public complaint. According to the JMPD spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, they received a distress call from a concerned citizen on Saturday, who reported being extorted by officers to avoid arrest.
