The acting police minister, Professor Firoz Cachalia, has condemned the brutal killing of two South African Police Service (SAPS) members, who were shot and killed while transporting an awaiting trial to the Roodepoort Magistrates Court to Benoni on Friday. According to the police, the suspect Jabulani Moyo, disarmed the two officers when they stopped at a filling station, shot them, and sped away with the police vehicle, which was later found abandoned nearby. The High Court in Pretoria has ordered that the body of the late Zambian president, Edgar Lungu, be repatriated back to his home country for a state funeral.
