Authorities in Ganyesa, North West, are investigating the death of a grade 10 learner from the Huhudi Secondary School. This after the 16-year-old collapsed after she was allegedly forced to run around the school premises as a punishment for arriving late to class. Nolusindiso Booi said she’s ready to lead the Springbok Women to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup which kicks off in England next week. The acting police minister, Professor Firoz Cachalia, has condemned the brutal killing of two South African Police Service (SAPS) members, who were shot and killed while transporting an awaiting trial to the Roodepoort Magistrates Court to Benoni on Friday. According to the police, the suspect Jabulani Moyo, disarmed the two officers when they stopped at a filling station, shot them, and sped away with the police vehicle, which was later found abandoned nearby. The High Court in Pretoria has ordered that the body of the late Zambian president, Edgar Lungu, be repatriated back to his home country for a state funeral. This is after the tug-of-war court challenge launched by the Zambian government two months ago, that barred his initial burial by the family in Johannesburg. President Cyril Ramaphosa held a telephone discussion with US President Donald Trump on bilateral trade matters, as the 30% tariffs are expected to take effect at midnight.
