The Minister of Transport Sindisiwe Chikunga said some of the roads in the North West Province will be under the auspices of SANRAL so they can be part of the National Roads portfolio. Imbumba Foundation distributes sanitary towels to underprivileged girls in North West and in Limpopo
Imbumba Foundation, a Non-profit organisation established in 2012, is passionate about assisting underprivileged community members around Limpopo and the North West Province. The NGO under Its Caring4Girls initiative, has reached no less than 12 000 girls in the two provinces, through its rollout of sanitary towels all in a bid to to help the girl-child not to miss school because of menstrual cycles. The Foundation said it holds workshops to teach girl-children about their rights and how to survive in society. Traffic officer attached to Rustenburg Local Municipality could be charged with perjury after allegedly lying about how he lost his service pistol. According to the police, the officer told them that the weapon had been stolen while he was at work, when he in fact lost it while out drinking. Family and friends bade farewell to Tshegofatso Ramogale from Tlhabane Rustenburg, whose lifeless body was found at the nearby primary school, at his funeral on Saturday. Tshegofatso’s friend Thabo Tshweu, said he’s devastated by his friend’s murder. He said he has been friends with Tshegofatso since they were children and finds it difficult to believe that he’s gone forever. The North West MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari, led the anti-crime Imbizo in Tlhabane in Rustenburg, North West, on Friday, with the aim of strengthening the fight against crime.
