The last group of South Africans stranded in war-torn Sudan arrived on Sunday following a rescue mission described by Dirco as ‘dangerous’ when civilians got caught up in the crossfire in clashes between government forces and the rebel group, Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The family of one of the two Soweto children who were brutally slain and their bodies left in the fields in White City and in Rockville last week said they had their suspicions all along that those nabbed by the police could have been behind the death of their child. The killing of the two boys Nqobizitha Zulu and Tshiamo Ramanye caused outrage in the Soweto community following the arrest of a 50-year-old grandmother of one of the murdered children and her 39-year-old partner after they were found with body parts. The families of the two boys whose mutilated bodies were found in Rockville and White City in Soweto yesterday morning, were devastated by the brutal killings. Six-year-old Tshiamo Ramanye and Nqobile Zulu (5) were allegedly kidnapped on Thursday  afternoon while playing in the area. The community gathered in the veld where the bodies were found and in an emotional outpouring threatened to unleash violence on those responsible for the heinous crime. The leader of the newly formed political party, Rise Mzansi, Songezo Zibi, has lambasted the DA’s approach to lure political parties with its so-called ‘Moonshot Pact’. This emerged during the launch of a new political party called Rise Mzansi, at Constitution Hill in Braamfontein. Convicted murderer Rosemary ‘Nomiya’ Ndlovu is back in court, this time for conspiracy to kill a friend’s husband Justice Mudau so that his wife Nomsa Mudau could allegedly benefit from life insurance worth R1,5 million. Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga said 225 people lost their lives on our roads during the Easter weekend, 64 more lives than we lost last year during the same period.
