The South African Defence Force (SANDF) has guaranteed the public that the mission of a phased withdrawal of soldiers from the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, is underway and is unfolding according to plan. Police have launched a probe into a robbery and attempted kidnapping incident involving a former investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. As part of efforts to curb what the government described as the growing improper disposal of e-waste in communities, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, launched the e-Waste Recycle Pilot Project, in Paardekraal, Rustenburg, in the North West. The Project is amongst others meant to establish e-waste recycling systems and to encourage recycling habits within the community.
