Banyana Banyana have arrived in Casablanca with confidence growing ahead of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) opener, after completing a focused preparation programme for the continental tournament.
The South African women’s national team has settled into camp in Morocco and has already stepped up its training sessions as head coach and the technical team fine-tune their plans for the competition.
South Africa will compete in Group D alongside Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, with the squad believing they have addressed all key areas ahead of the tournament.
The defending champions will begin their WAFCON campaign against Tanzania on Monday, as they aim for a positive start and continue their pursuit of another major African title.
With preparations now complete, Banyana Banyana are ready to shift their focus from training to competition as they look to make their mark on the Moroccan stage.
