The family of late businessman Wandile Bozwana has expressed mixed feelings to the sentencing of the four men convicted of his murder.

Bozwana was shot and killed at a traffic intersection in Grafontein, Pretoria in October 2015 with his business partner Mpho Baloyi escaping with multiple gunshot wounds ( Bozwana was struck by 11 bullets).

The men showed no remorse or regret as Judge Mokhine Mosopa sentenced them to 30 years and 10 years respectively for the killing of Bozwana and the attempted murder of Baloyi who was driving with him.

Family spokesperson Bennedict Bozwana said the family was pleased with the lengthy sentence but added it was not enough to provide closure.

“We welcome the sentencing in that they will serve not less than 30 years in prison but as we have always said that these men appear to be hired guns, we desperately need to know who order the hit and why,” he said.

Bozwana said the family will enlist the help of private investigators to get to the bottom of the matter and expressed hope that the hit men may one day confess.

“As a family we will do everything in our power, I’ll spend my last cent to find out who killed my brother because he was shot on the road like an animal. I am also praying that the relationship between the killers and the mastermind gets sour with time and the killers start telling the truth,” said Bozwana.

The men convicted of his murder are Vusi ‘Khekhe’ Mathibela, Sipho Hudla, Robert Mutapa and Bonginkosi Khumalo, Kgaogelo Magolego, Newsnote in Pretoria.
