The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) is set to host an extravagant gala dinner featuring none other than its president, Jacob Zuma. The event, aimed at honouring the party’s accomplishments and securing funds for its future, will take place at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban on December 16, following a celebratory rally at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 15.

The gala dinner promises an exclusive experience for those able to afford the lavish ticket prices, with a seat at the prestigious Platinum Spear Table fetching a staggering R2 million for 30 suite tickets. Other ticketing options include the Golden Spear Table at R1.5 million for 25 tickets, the Silver Spear Table for R1 million for 20 tickets, and several other tiered packages down to an Individual Access Ticket costing R25,000 for a single suite ticket.

Accompanying the gala dinner, the anniversary celebrations will kick off at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, where party members and supporters can enjoy a range of hospitality options. Individual access tickets for the stadium event will be available at R5,000, which includes access to the hospitality suite, food, drinks, and MK Party regalia. For those seeking a corporate experience, a 30-seater Corporate Hospitality Suite is also on offer for R150,000.

An official statement from the MK Party expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming events, stating, “This celebration is more than an event; it is a moment to honour our shared legacy and pave the way for future success. We encourage our stakeholders to take part in this historic milestone and contribute to the growth of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party.”

Since its official launch in Soweto in December 2023, the MK Party has been eager to solidify its place in South African politics. As party leadership indicates a high-spirited atmosphere surrounding the festivities, stakeholders, individuals, and organisations are invited to join this ambitious celebration, which they hope will mark a significant milestone in their journey ahead.
