Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze following the expiry of their two-year contracts at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Ben Youssef joined Amakhosi ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, while Kaze arrived in October 2024. The pair initially served under former head coach Nasreddine Nabi before stepping into leadership roles after his departure in October 2025.

Under their guidance, Chiefs showed notable progress, finishing the league season with 54 points — the club’s second-highest tally in the past 11 years. The team also mounted a strong CAF Confederation Cup challenge, narrowly missing out on a place in the knockout stages after finishing Group D on 10 points, with goal difference proving decisive.

Across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, including the Betway Premiership, CAF Confederation Cup, Carling Knockout Cup and Nedbank Cup, the duo oversaw 39 matches, recording 19 victories, 11 draws and nine defeats.

The club has also confirmed the departure of conditioning coach Majdi Safi, whose contract concluded following the final match of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs thanked the coaches for their professionalism, commitment and contribution to the club, and wished them success in the next chapter of their careers.

Supporters can expect further updates from Amakhosi in the coming weeks as preparations gather pace for the new season.
