According to a report by TMZ, Chuck Norris the legendary martial artist and action film star  has died at the age of 86.

TMZ reports that Norris passed away in Hawaii. His family confirmed the news in a statement, saying:

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris… he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.”

They added that he “lived life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.”

Norris’ death appeared to be unexpected. A source told the outlet that he had been in good spirits just a day earlier, working out and maintaining his usual upbeat mood.

Per TMZ, Norris became a global icon through his action films in the 1980s, including The Delta Force and Missing in Action. He later gained even wider recognition for his role in the TV series Walker, Texas Ranger.

He also appeared in later projects such as The Expendables 2, though he had largely stepped away from acting in recent years.

TMZ highlighted Norris’ influence in martial arts, noting that he held black belts in multiple disciplines. He also famously trained and worked with Bruce Lee, appearing alongside him in The Way of the Dragon.

According to TMZ, Norris was born in 1940 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He had five children and experienced several personal losses in recent years, including the deaths of his mother and former wife.

Cultural Impact

TMZ also noted that Norris remained widely popular through internet culture, with viral memes celebrating his legendary toughness. Just days before his passing, he posted on social media:

“I don’t age… I level up.”

Chuck Norris leaves behind a lasting legacy in both martial arts and entertainment.
